Factor Industries Charity Event: October 18th, 2016
Even for Benjamin Factor, arranging this charity event had been something of a challenge. Just as he held great influence in Gateway City, Thunder Corp's influence in Locke was great as well. But with time and money, all things were indeed possible in this case, and the Memorial Dance Hall was playing host to the night's events. It was a glamorous affair: politicians, captains of business, dignitaries, and celebrities had been invited. For whatever controversy that existed, the world legitimately wanted to heal the wounds left by the invasion, and that meant there were a lot of people who wanted to use events like this to either advance that cause, or to make themselves look good.
But they weren't the only sorts of individuals who had recieved an invitation.
Benjamin Factor had also made it so the Numbered would be invited to his little party. Arrivals through the teleporter would be greeted by drivers at the community center, and the same courtesy was extended to anyone who might live in Locke. The only stipulation? Was that anyone who came make an effort to make themselves presentable. If that was a problem, or anyone arrived without knowing, they had clothes on hand for people to change into.
Indeed, it seemed that the Numbered would be well provided for tonight. That being said, their presence would get people to talk, given the presence of news crews making live coverage. Nevertheless... "getting people to talk" seemed to be exactly what Benjamin Factor wanted to happen.

"Weren't you just over there?" She's about to point to her finger toward where she came from but stops.
"And weren't you dressed dif-Oh." It suddenly dawns on her that she's likely dealing with a doppelganger, like the two she works with now.
"You're not her. My mistake."
no subject
She snorts, resuming her conquest of the buffet table.
"Took you a minute, didn't it?" she mutters, while... not really knowing who this girl is at all. "I swear, I am getting sick of people mistaking me for her tonight..."
Even if, well. Who could blame them?
Rose. Rose could.no subject
"Could be worse, you could actually be her." She didn't know how this Lily lookalike felt about Lily, but she had no problem expressing her opinion about her.
no subject
"I suppose. Honestly, I'd rather not even freaking think about it."
no subject
"Fair enough, in any case I'm sorry for mistaking you for her." Apologizing isn't something she does often, so it doesn't come off as entirely sincere. ...But it's a start?
no subject
"Yeah, I'm sure you are," she mutters, and then shakes her head. "So, what's your deal? Besides pissing people on the Network off."
Look. Just because she doesn't comment on it, doesn't mean she doesn't read it.
no subject
Except that probably wasn't the case.
"Oh, You noticed that? They're a little too sensitive if you ask me." And she was a bit too much of a total jerk.
"I work for Infinita Industries, I'm basically just here because my boss told so. I'd be more than happy to leave any minute now." She didn't exactly say much about herself, but more than what she normally told people on the network.
"What about you?"
no subject
"Hard not to."
She shrugs though, only sort of side eyeing the girl. "Do you, now? Well, that place is supposed to be some sorta big shot now, since the invasion." Her lips then quirk a bit. "My partner wanted to come to this, so I came with her. Kind of as simple as that."
no subject
"You could say that the invasion did take out most of the competition." Among other things, but Alexandra would rather not talk about the invasion.
"That's about as straightforward as my reason for being here. I'm guessing she happens to look like someone else from the network too?" It was a guess, but her two new coworkers happened to be doppelgangers too. It seemed like they liked to stick together.
