Factor Industries Charity Event: October 18th, 2016

Even for Benjamin Factor, arranging this charity event had been something of a challenge. Just as he held great influence in Gateway City, Thunder Corp's influence in Locke was great as well. But with time and money, all things were indeed possible in this case, and the Memorial Dance Hall was playing host to the night's events. It was a glamorous affair: politicians, captains of business, dignitaries, and celebrities had been invited. For whatever controversy that existed, the world legitimately wanted to heal the wounds left by the invasion, and that meant there were a lot of people who wanted to use events like this to either advance that cause, or to make themselves look good.

But they weren't the only sorts of individuals who had recieved an invitation.

Benjamin Factor had also made it so the Numbered would be invited to his little party. Arrivals through the teleporter would be greeted by drivers at the community center, and the same courtesy was extended to anyone who might live in Locke. The only stipulation? Was that anyone who came make an effort to make themselves presentable. If that was a problem, or anyone arrived without knowing, they had clothes on hand for people to change into.

Indeed, it seemed that the Numbered would be well provided for tonight. That being said, their presence would get people to talk, given the presence of news crews making live coverage. Nevertheless... "getting people to talk" seemed to be exactly what Benjamin Factor wanted to happen.

Oh, it would seem that she might have hit a button there. Normally Alexandra would celebrate the situation by attempting to press that button until someone got upset, but it might make her grandfather look bad in this situation. Well that and this girl didn't seem to be a huge fan of Lily and that made her kind of alright in Alexandra's books.

"Fair enough, in any case I'm sorry for mistaking you for her." Apologizing isn't something she does often, so it doesn't come off as entirely sincere. ...But it's a start?

Rose catches the lack of sincerity clearly enough. She may be a bit pig headed and stubborn, but she's perceptive enough. Still, she gives a short laugh and smirks.

"Yeah, I'm sure you are," she mutters, and then shakes her head. "So, what's your deal? Besides pissing people on the Network off."

Look. Just because she doesn't comment on it, doesn't mean she doesn't read it.

She may not have fooled the girl, but she didn't piss her off. Maybe she wasn't as terrible at social interaction as everyone thought she was.

Except that probably wasn't the case.

"Oh, You noticed that? They're a little too sensitive if you ask me." And she was a bit too much of a total jerk.

"I work for Infinita Industries, I'm basically just here because my boss told so. I'd be more than happy to leave any minute now." She didn't exactly say much about herself, but more than what she normally told people on the network.

"What about you?"

In truth, Rose probably just doesn't care enough. Or hasn't been given reason to, yet. Either way, she gives a bit of a snort.

"Hard not to."

She shrugs though, only sort of side eyeing the girl. "Do you, now? Well, that place is supposed to be some sorta big shot now, since the invasion." Her lips then quirk a bit. "My partner wanted to come to this, so I came with her. Kind of as simple as that."

"Well, at least I made an impression." There's the faintest hint of a smile on her face, being infamous on the Network didn't seem like a bad thing.

"You could say that the invasion did take out most of the competition." Among other things, but Alexandra would rather not talk about the invasion.

"That's about as straightforward as my reason for being here. I'm guessing she happens to look like someone else from the network too?" It was a guess, but her two new coworkers happened to be doppelgangers too. It seemed like they liked to stick together.
