Defect Mogeko Incursion
[Action]
[She paused at the sight. There were familiar yellow cat-like things wandering around looking very confused. When they saw her, they froze up. She realized why just as some of them began to flee.]
Wait! I'm not Moge-ko! I'm nothing like her!
[That caused some to pause and give her confused looks. And then she caught up and they tensed up as she began to speak...]
Is there a "My past life was a terrible person" club? Because I think I'd be a good candidate for one.
Also, Mogekos suck. They're horrible. They look like those. [And she uploads a picture of one of the yellow cat-things.] Except that those ones here're okay. I've talked with them. [And they'd been afraid of her because she looked like that horrible Moge-ko. It'd taken some effort to calm them down a bit, but they'd still been wary of her.] They're Defect Mogekos which means that they aren't like the rest and they get killed for it. I don't know how they showed up here and they don't know either. This must be one of those weird things like the dinosaurs.
Um, they aren't very bright, I don't think, but could someone give them jobs or something? They'll starve without it and I already asked my dad and he said no to feeding all of them and that they should get jobs if they're smart enough to talk. And he won't give them jobs either.
[How unfair! Cute things like those shouldn't have to suffer! Well, at least the not-terrible ones. The terrible ones deserve it.]
[Defect Mogeko encounters]
[Defect Mogekos can be seen wandering around Gateway City now. Your character might run into them.]

Their situation sounds quite deplorable, but I cannot think of anyone who would even do such a thing.
Re: [video]
[She's annoyed for basically no good reason now.]
At least they could make good mascots or something.
Perhaps, though, they should be analyzed. There are... far too many anomalous instances like this running around, and I'm not certain Factor Industries would be interested in making the findings public.
I could be the one to do it...
Re: [video]
[Mina is kinda wary. Those creatures are cute enough and harmless (unlike their fellows). She isn't sure she wants to put them into the hands of someone who apparently wants to experiment on them.]

Re: [video]
No way!
[Though there isn't really much she can do about it. It's not like she commands them. The Defect Mogekos're wandering around on their own, and he can probably find some of his own.]

Frankly, Marina wasn't even paying much attention, only in Gateway City to check out a few shops, when she nearly tripped over one of the Defects. ]
Whoa, hey there little... uh...
...hi little... guuuuy?
Re: Action
[The 'little guy' turned around.]
Hi there. Got any prosciutto? I'm hungry, moge.

Well, anything'll do. Or not. It's fine if you don't.

There's a lot of work around Shepherd's Haven, if they're bright enough to follow instruction and don't mind some manual labor. And as long as they're not harmful, but that goes without saying...
Re: [Video]
I guess they can obey orders alright. They seemed to do what she told them to do. Mostly because they were scared of her, but they'll probably do it if you pay them.
They have an interest in money? That requires some degree of intelligence. I don't have a problem with it, I just find it fairly surprising.
Re: [Video]
When I said they weren't very bright, I meant like not very bright humans, not like animals. Even if they aren't interested in money, you could probably get them to take it if you explain it to them. Though you might be able to get away with just feeding them and stuff.
[He gets the feeling that for Mina, it isn't.]
I could offer them a home and protection. Most of us don't really work for money here, which is the only reason it gives me pause, but they would be comfortable and looked-after.

[Arlene thinks it sounds like that bothers Mina, but she's been wrong before about this kind of thing.]
What are some of your memories of that like? Not to pry, if you don't want to talk about it or something.
