Factor Industries Charity Event: October 18th, 2016
Even for Benjamin Factor, arranging this charity event had been something of a challenge. Just as he held great influence in Gateway City, Thunder Corp's influence in Locke was great as well. But with time and money, all things were indeed possible in this case, and the Memorial Dance Hall was playing host to the night's events. It was a glamorous affair: politicians, captains of business, dignitaries, and celebrities had been invited. For whatever controversy that existed, the world legitimately wanted to heal the wounds left by the invasion, and that meant there were a lot of people who wanted to use events like this to either advance that cause, or to make themselves look good.
But they weren't the only sorts of individuals who had recieved an invitation.
Benjamin Factor had also made it so the Numbered would be invited to his little party. Arrivals through the teleporter would be greeted by drivers at the community center, and the same courtesy was extended to anyone who might live in Locke. The only stipulation? Was that anyone who came make an effort to make themselves presentable. If that was a problem, or anyone arrived without knowing, they had clothes on hand for people to change into.
Indeed, it seemed that the Numbered would be well provided for tonight. That being said, their presence would get people to talk, given the presence of news crews making live coverage. Nevertheless... "getting people to talk" seemed to be exactly what Benjamin Factor wanted to happen.

God, kids better not be this bad or she's vetoing any and all family-raising.
Marina huffed, looking over to Jasmine as she approached. "They're like really dumb puppies." Ouch.

She groans, and rubs her forehead. "Lily...! I just told Lily I left all of you at home! How did they even get in?!"
The Snackies just... look at each other, then at Jasmine and Marina, and shrug. Then, they point over at the eccentric businessman doing card tricks, as if that answered anything. Perhaps they were going "ask him!", as if they somehow realized he was the one in charge.

Marina crossed her arms, frowning down at the Snackies. Hopefully they could see the disappointment clear as day. "You guys better not cause any trouble."

Jasmine did wonder, however, if the people in charge of security had some weird idea of a joke. The Snackies however, nodded fearfully at Marina's words.
"Ki!" they said. They didn't want to earn either woman's wrath!
no subject
"...what do we do with them?"
no subject
"We're getting them out of here," she said, grabbing at a Snackey's wrist. "Come on, we're taking you guys out the back."
The Snackies eyes widened. "Ki!" they exclaimed. Their master wanted them to leave? But... why...?
no subject
"I mean, they'll just be stuck sitting outside, right? They're already here..." Although she did want them gone, really.
no subject
At the mention of that, the Snackies appeared absolutely crestfallen. They even looked ashamed for having made their mistress so unhappy.
... Jasmine frowns. Yes, again.
"Look, guys, there's a job for you out there, okay? You have to get back to the house and watch over it until we get back. I'm trusting only YOU three with this."
She shot Marina a look that said "play along".
no subject
Yeah, they might pick a fight with a magical girl or something stupid like that. "Yeah, seriously. You guys have been doing a good job of that one lately."
no subject
The Snackies... eyes lit up. They smiled and posed.
"KII!" they cried in unison. They wouldn't let their mistress down!

"Alright then, the 'kii's' have it. Now come on."
And now she's leading them to the exit, motioning for Marina to follow.

"You know, Lily warned me this might happen..."
