Factor Industries Charity Event: October 18th, 2016

Even for Benjamin Factor, arranging this charity event had been something of a challenge. Just as he held great influence in Gateway City, Thunder Corp's influence in Locke was great as well. But with time and money, all things were indeed possible in this case, and the Memorial Dance Hall was playing host to the night's events. It was a glamorous affair: politicians, captains of business, dignitaries, and celebrities had been invited. For whatever controversy that existed, the world legitimately wanted to heal the wounds left by the invasion, and that meant there were a lot of people who wanted to use events like this to either advance that cause, or to make themselves look good.

But they weren't the only sorts of individuals who had recieved an invitation.

Benjamin Factor had also made it so the Numbered would be invited to his little party. Arrivals through the teleporter would be greeted by drivers at the community center, and the same courtesy was extended to anyone who might live in Locke. The only stipulation? Was that anyone who came make an effort to make themselves presentable. If that was a problem, or anyone arrived without knowing, they had clothes on hand for people to change into.

Indeed, it seemed that the Numbered would be well provided for tonight. That being said, their presence would get people to talk, given the presence of news crews making live coverage. Nevertheless... "getting people to talk" seemed to be exactly what Benjamin Factor wanted to happen.

There was at least SOMEWHAT of a attempt to get Dani to wear a dress. This was a compromise probably as she'd been getting cold lately and with her wings, it got worse from time to time. She's not wearing the hood though- Just because it'd look bad.

Although she's trying to be social and wander about with her wings pulled tightly against her back to give everyone room to get around her when walking about and smiling. She's still used to being a proper little girl in public but once she withdraws to the edge of the party, she let's her wings out and keeps a eye out. She's more then happy to chat away and is without a game system with her for once.

Emilia had confiscated Dani's handhelds, of course. She was still a bit unhappy about Dani's attire, compromise or not. In any case, she can withdraw to the edges of the party if she wants, Emilia will still seek her out.

"Dani, are you being good?"

"Of course I am Emi. I don't want to mess up everything."

At the moment she was just out of energy to socialize, being the shy child she was. Dani has been out looking for her friends, just to catch up with them and feel somewhat normal for once..but was getting a bit jumpy too. Too many people near her wings.

"It's just...really crowded and busy.."

"It's okay, you'll be quite safe here."

Well, Emi decided to take a moment to spend some time with her cousin, and maybe help her relax a bit...

"I know that...It's just there's a little voice in the back of my head freaking out every time I get close to a lot of people. Not only because of my wings..but that weird echo."

She wasn't a fan of crowds before...now she was just worse with them. Not enough to want nothing to do with them..just enough to brig caution along with her.

"When I'm out of them, it quiets down a bit though Emi."

"Do you want Amy to take you home?"

If Dani wanted to leave, Emi would arrange it for her. She asked Amelia to come along in case Dani needed someone to take her home.

There is a quick shake ofDani's head, no. She's trying to keep into 'Party' mode and she had another 20 minutes to a half hour until she was able to leave by those memories. Even if she was already ready to go and had talked to most of the people she wanted to...and was tired of trying to answer questions about her wings.

"I can't leave until later...I remember how these things work. from when Mom and Dad had their parties."

Well, even if people didn't talk to Dani, or Emi for that matter, they still let them be. In a way, maybe that helps if Dani's left alone.

"Alright. I'll be here if you need me."

It's fairly obvious she's not wanting to stay but is staying for the good of showing that Dani isn't a threat. She'd be tired of the whole thing sooner then what she was trying to follow. If only because homework and she's still only ten years old.

"...Okay. I might just stay over here until it's time."

"Alright. I'm here if you need me."

That... That is just tacky. Just who'd allowed her in like that? But she can't be too mean to someone who'd been so nice to her before. She'd just have to show her how to be actually fashionable sometime. But moreover, she just got a better view of the little girl. Just what sort of wings are those? It'd be hard to properly accessorize those. Still, the pink dress is the right idea, that hoodie just needs to be done away with.

"Hello~ Just who gave you those clothes?"

Best to feel that out.

The sad thing is- It's about time for Dani to prove out fashion illiterate she really is. It's more practicality the looking good for her. Either way, Mina gets a bright smile.

"Hi! These are mine..Well..the dress Emi got me but the sweatshirt is mine. I fixed for my wings."

Yes, the back of that sweatshirt is carefully sewn up by herself. It was from before anyone knew about her wings.

Well, Dani's only a kid, after all. When Mina was a kid, she didn't have as good a fashion sense as she does now, though she still knew better than to wear a hoodie.

"Well, we'll have to get you something nicer sometime~"

"Oh? I don't think there is a whole lot that can be done with that..Wing issues and everything. But if you think you can figure it out..okay."

Dani's not used to trying to go for looks nor trying to stand out. If anything, She's definitely a younger sibling, letting the older get the focus of the attention...that and she was hospital bound too often. For now though, she'll look slightly confused but smile.

"I can figure that out!" If nothing else, Mina can just bring it to a tailor. That's how she'd gotten her outfits altered for her tail. "To start with, let's get that hoodie off." She doesn't realize why Dani'd worn it.

Arthur stood by Dani for awhile, inspecting the beer he was given by one of Factor's caterers. He was told it was an import, but for the life of him couldn't remember the specific name once that information was handed over. It seemed as if he wouldn't remember no matter how much focusing he put into the amber shaded liquid--so, he gave up and looked to Dani, smiling despite his frustration.

"Sorry, am I bumming you out?" She didn't look bothered at all, but Arthur was nervous that night and with his nervousness came an excess of apology. "I was just trying to remember what this was called..."

Arthur gets a smile in return, although she's starting to get to a point of wanting to get out of the party. Dani's never been on for crowds and this type of party is boring to a ten year old..especially when her handhelds have been confiscated.

"No..It's okay. I'm starting to get a bit tired..and bored. Are you okay? You seem...worried about something. Is something wrong?"

There was certainly something on his mind that was bordering on crippling, but asking Dani for advice seemed like a bad mood. She was impatient enough as it was and he knew why, but he was beginning to realize that he was about to be part of something that would keep her at the party even longer.

He felt a little guilty, fully realizing that Emilia likely could have cared less.

"N-Nothing's wrong! I'm just a little nervous in crowds. Do I look good?"

With a plain suit and bowtie, Arthur looked just about like any other businessman in the hall.

"Yeah, you look really nice!"

Even with her being impatient and uncomfortable with the crowd, the little vampire would smile brightly. Dani could be patient when things would happen and be beyond her control. If she didn't leave when she wanted to, it was more likely she'd fall asleep in a corner somewhere, just to not be a bother.

"I know how it is with crowds..Too many people and too much that could happen. But are you sure it's just that? You seem even more nervous then I am with the crowds."

"Thank you," His smile turned a little more easy-going as Arthur paused, slowly hunching over a bit so it wouldn't be so awkward to talk to Dani. It wasn't so much that she was a kid that it was the fact that he was a behemoth of a young man. He had grown a lot from the start.

"Well," He admitted, looking off to the crowd, away from Dani for a moment. He was worried his eyes would give him away. "I'm going to do something important and I'm not confident about these things."
