Echo Incursion - Despair Attack!
Who: Anybody
What: Zetsuborgs! Zetsuborgs everywhere!
Where: Anywhere. Teleporters exist and I'm flexible.
When: Basically any over the week.
Why: Because zetsubou
Somewhere, at any place in the world really, a bizarre event is happening. Par for the course really, but as characters make their way around today they might come across one or more strange little creatures. The tiny things are essentially a sort of lock with tiny hands and feet connected to their body by lengths of chain. And probably dismiss them as curiosities since they seem rather harmless on their own.
But however dangerous they may or may not be is irrelevant. All that matters to them is their mission. Their mission to hunt down strong and hopeful dreams and lock them away forever.....
[OOC: So, here's the post for Kirara's Incursion event. Details are here. Open to anybody who wants to get transformed, see or get involved with an NPC getting cause or fighting monsters. Whatever. It's all good.]

Slowly, almost painstakingly, the creature tried to force itself onto its feet, while trying to knock Raye off. Would she be able to dodge a wing coming in to smack her off? Let's just see.

Focused as she was on pummeling the monster down, she wasn't able to react in time to the wing slamming down on her. The wing hit hard and sent her crashing down to the ground, rolling a few feet to a stop against the side of a small building. Something cracked in the fall and she grunted, gripping her right arm as she pushed herself back up, the cuts and scrapes on her already fading away.
"Fine. I'll just fucking kill you then rip that cage open myself." She was already rushing back in as she talked, paying no mind to her arm that was still regenerating.
WHOOPS OKAY I'm finally here, sorry
"Moonlight," Cologne, flitting around her head, speaks up. He'd sensed something amiss already and they were already en route when Fougere was going for help. Such monsters aren't common in their world, and when they appear it's rather like a beacon going off. "The darkness I'm sensing is similar to what we've fought recently, but different. Just as each one tends to be."
She grits her teeth, noting Raye rushing it with the intent to kill.
"RAYE! It needs to be cleansed, I don't now what killing it normally will do to Rakka!"
ITS OKAY I AM SO SLOW
"Cure Moonlight!" Fougere zipped past Lily, almost too quickly before turning back. "Y-you need to do something!" He didn't really trust Raye to end this peacefully.
Which wasn't what was going down right now. Raye was the main enemy to the monster, and it knew that. Something made it focus on her. Maybe something to do.... with that girl in the cage?
....Yes, that will do nicely. Heads up, Raye, because one of those wings is swinging a peculiar looking cage right at you.

Normally, that warning may have gone unheeded but not this time. She can't take that chance now, can't risk anything happening to Rakka whether by her actions or someone or something else's. She just... she can't lose her.
"Then what do I do?!" Her voice is uncharacteristically high as she calls out to Lily, frantic and terrified. She doesn't get to catch any kind of answer though, as a shadow drops over her and she turns her head back to the monster.
A horrified gasp escapes her when she notices exactly what it's using to attack her. All her eyes can focus on are Rakka, hanging suspended in that cage and her mind works at a mile a minute. If she dodges, then the cage and Rakka will be slammed into the ground. Likewise, she doesn't dare counterattack and even blocking for the same reason. What happens to her doesn't matter, as long as Rakka is safe.
So, she does the only thing she can think of. She digs in her feet, grits her teeth and raises her arms as if trying to catch the cage.
And then she takes the hit. Full-on.

"I could use some help fighting it, still! Just don't--"
Then the swing comes. Faster than Moonlight can react, and her eyes flash wide with horror as it comes down right upon Raye. From there, she doesn't think. She just acts. There's a flash, and suddenly a purple and silver streak flies into the Zetsuborg, fist extended. Power erupts from her punch as she tries to nail it in the head, if just to knock it away and give them some space.

Which was still happening. The beast swung down the cage at Raye, not expecting her to stay where she was, and certainly not expecting to to try and catch it. And, if she's careful enough, that's exactly what happens. Still, Zetsuborg hits with the force of a truck.
"ZETSU-" And then the first connects, creating a sort of mini sonic boom as it collided with the monster's face. With the force of that blow, it was blown clean off its feet, landing a good few meters away. The cage, thankfully, was left where it was.
That hurt. A lot.

There was also a time when an impact like that wouldn't even have phased her in a fight, back when she wouldn't be going into this fight alone. As it is, she feels the ground hit her back almost immediately after the impact and then... well, she practically feels everything in her body get crushed flat. It hurts like hell and it's only those blinders that let her clutch to the cage and rip it out of the monster's grasp when Lily punches it away.
For a second, there's stillness from the impact site before the heavy cage slowly rolls off and the bloodied form of Raye crawls out, hunching over it as her body starts to put itself back together. It hurts, but it's only pain and it doesn't last long. It isn't important.
She casts a glance over to where Lily's fighting the monster before leaning over the cage and speaking in a voice that grinds and gurgles unpleasantly through the first few words before getting stronger.
"Rakka? Rakka, can you hear me? Say something!"

As she sees Raye crawl out, she's relieved, but she knows she can't focus on that. Raye will... be okay, as horrifying as the sight is. She grits her teeth as the monster crashes back, swinging her weapon out, purple crystal shining. There's a burst of light, and a shockwave of energy travels towards the Zetsuborg, hopefully while it's still prone. If she can just wail on it a couple times, maybe that'll be enough to open her up to cleanse it.

She says nothing.
Blasts of strong energy slam into the monster's body, It writhes and shakes in pain, yet somehow manages to right itself again, though it's looking worse off for it. Seeing as how Lily had placed herself front and center between the Zetsuborg and the cage, she was now its main target. It lets out another bellowing cry before trying to crush her this time with its wings.
no subject
No. No, that wouldn't happen. Not now, not ever, not like this. No matter what it took, she would save her.
"Just hang in there." She said quietly, her voice gentle, resting her hand on the cage over Rakka's face. The pain in her body was gone, the damage repaired. She was strong again, ready to fight. "I'll get you out of there. I swear."
Turning her head, furious eyes locked on the monster. The red streak in her hair glowed like a tongue of flame. Even as it swung its wings at Moonlight, she charged the beast with a mad battle cry and swung her fist at that lock face again with all of her might.

Between the both of them, it should be weak enough soon. They can't risk screwing this up.

Meanwhile, the Zetsuborg was at its peak in frustration. Its wings came crashing down against the ground, missing Cure Moonlight with every swing. Unfortunately for it, things weren't going to get any luckier for it. The moment it let out another bellowing cry was when Raye decided to charge in again, swinging a fist that hit hard against the dark metal lock face. If that wasn't enough, it was followed up with a kick that really sent the monster reeling.
It stumbled back in pain, attempting another wide swing at the both of them.

Now, though, things were clearer. She knew what this thing was and she also knew that saving Rakka from its clutches wasn't something she could do on her own. This thing... whatever it was and wherever it came from, was an enemy of the Precure and that meant only a Precure could defeat it. If Raye couldn't save Rakka on her own then all she had to do was clear the way for Lily to do it.
She charged in and came to a halt in the path of that swing, her feet digging in as she reached out to slam her arms around it and held on tight. The red streak in her hair flared up with orange light, like a tongue of flame, as she called up everything she had in her, everything she was to hold onto this monster and keep it pinned down. That fire spread through her, down her arms and into her hands and for a second she almost felt something familiar... an outside presence, lending her strength.
"LILY!" She'd made a promise to Rakka, that she'd always be there for her no matter what. And she was going to keep that promise. "BLAST THIS STUPID THING!"
