Just what's going on? First gross slime then pink snakes [though she'd found the snakes kinda cute] and ghosts, now dinosaurs! I almost died! Speaking of, thanks mysterious speedy masked guy whose name I didn't get, for saving me.

Quick emergency Mina's Fashion Corner tip:

I've seen some people selling clothes with dinosaurs on them. And even a few wearing them. Do not do that. Seriously, it's a total fashion no-no. It's just tacky.

If you really want to go with a dinosaur theme, try wearing dinosaur colors! Besides, green's the in color right now. Loose clothing is also in, but it has to be stylish, okay? You can deviate from the current fashion, but that's not for amateurs. Only the stylish and cute can get away with it.

I know. I have always been a pretty picky eater, but my echoes made it worse.

At least you don't look like you're gaining weight.

I actually kind of need to gain weight. My BMI is 15.

That's pretty low.

Yeah, sometimes my heart does weird things. Sort of flutters and then slows down before going back to normal.

...Have you seen a doctor about that?

I mean to. I don't really like doctors.

Seriously you should.

[She doesn't want one of the few people to say good things about her lately to die.]

I know. My girlfriend is riding me really hard about it.

Well, yeah, she should be.

I've had horrible experiences with doctors. It's not that I want to be difficult about it.

Oh. [She isn't sure what to say.] Well, you must've had doctors that sucked.

Maybe. I don't think they're such a big part of most people's lives.

But, yeah, you need to find a good doctor.

About a year ago I had a big health crisis. It happens that good doctors are pretty hard to find since the disaster. Every now and then we get lucky and a doctor starts getting echoes, but... it's been a little while.

What's the problem with those doctors?

[numberedshepherd]

You have to trust your doctor, and... I guess that there just aren't that many people I trust who aren't Numbered. That's why we're out here in the middle of nowhere on South Island, New Zealand.

I just thought of something! What's my doctor gonna say about the ears and tail?

That's exactly the kind of thing I mean. Our health needs aren't necessarily the same as the general population's.

Just who'd be an expert on this kind of thing, then? I'm not seeing a veterinarian.

Like I said, we used to have doctors. A long time ago.

I wouldn't be surprised if some enterprising individual thought to go into medicine specifically for people who aren't so human, anymore, since it looks like we're around to stay.

I'm plenty human. I just happen to have cat ears and a tail. And a crazy sense of smell.

That's true... But you're fairly new to this whole Numbered thing. Things can change a lot more than this.

I hope it doesn't! I wouldn't want to change more than I've already. It's hard enough to hide this stuff as is.
