[He's genuinely giving this some thought... He catches his breath a little, even more red.]

[He can feel himself getting more and more flustered as he lets Ryuzaki's words sink in. And, since this is really the first time he's even remotely talked about what he daydreams about, he's not quite sure how to handle it.]

[Ryuzaki stretches out a little bit, putting one of his legs up. It's hard to tell much about where he is, but that desk hints at a cheap motel. ]

Sure, I'm a professional. It's actually a very honest living, and I do what I love all day. I choose my own hours, I'm self-employed, I can take a day off if I really want to.

I think you'll even really enjoy the training process, from what you've described.

*Private to Blaise:*

[Blaise stares a second at the sudden message. Then goes exceptionally red. He fidgets and isn't quite sure what to say. There's a fair amount of dumb shock before he responds.]

I... uhm...

[He looks back at Ryuzaki's video.]

I-is that true? I... I have a boy interested in me?

[Unfortunately, Cesar's words mean something entirely different to Blaise. As long as he has known, he's never caught the interest of another man. And, now, he finally did? This piques Blaise's interest toward 'Lazarus' even more, and he gives a purely blush-filled, curious gaze to the Doppel.]

*... Well, shit. Cesar switches to video and bold paper signs on the off chance that putting a concerned face to this will get through to him more.*

It means you have a con-artist targeting you. This is bad.

*He holds it up long enough to be read, pointing at the underlined words with a marker. Then he pulls up a fresh page, scribbling.*

You can do better. Trust me, find someone your own age.

[Blaise clenches his hands into light fists, confused and a little let down. Cesar's look of concern seems to strike a chord in the back of his mind, and he's sitting there, firmly debating if he should listen to it. Slowly, he starts to find words and calm down the red-rush to his face. He looks like he's near tears.]

But I... [He sighs.] I don't know. For once being liked by a boy... It's...

[It's a new experience to him. And finding someone his own age hasn't been something that's been successful in the past, with how insecure he is about the closet he's in. But thinking about saying any of that just makes him want to hide under his desk. His first brush at something that isn't one-sided and it's a con. His expression becomes a little more pained.]

Y...yea... I guess. I mean, he said I had to be eighteen anyway. I won't turn eighteen for a while... [He hears his own voice crack ever so slightly and takes a breath.] Right. Sorry.

[He's afraid to say anything more to the concerned man on the other side of the line. He might actually start to cry. He couldn't help feeling like a scolded child for touching a hot oven. And, that little nagging voice in his head said that he was probably right. You shouldn't just jump into the first sign of something you've only dreamed about.]

Don't be sorry. He's-- *Cesar hesitates, feeling suddenly exposed. The pen hovers over the paper for a few seconds, before he firmly remembers the kid's crestfallen look and continues on.*

He's easy to be fooled by.

For what it's worth, finding people gets easier after highschool.

*There. That should help a little, right?*

[A second ticks by and he feels a teardrop slide down his cheek. A slight look of panic crosses his face as he tries to hide it. What was he doing, crying in front of strangers? He hiccups as he tries to talk, but he's more concerned with saving face.]

S...Sorry. I uhm... I got to go. I need to make dinner tonight...

[ he covers his face as he turns off his webcam and disconnects from the network.]

*His eyebrows shoot up when he sees the tear, and Cesar opens his mouth. There's no time to do anything else: whoever this kid was, he's signed off now.*

*The question of calling him back goes through Cesar's mind, but he doesn't even consider it. The kid needs time. Hell, Cesar could use a breather, considering what a rollercoaster this whole trainwreck has turned into.*

*He signs off too, turning immediately to a stack of papers.*

It's not 'Lazarus' anymore. I started to hate that name the second he started to like and use it.

Are you jealous, Cesar? It's not that you're replaceable, it's just that it's as you said. You don't have time. Is it so terrible that someone's eager to accept my offers?
