[Anyone who pays any sort of attention to American football is going to recognize the guy who's showing up on the network tonight. He's Ronnie "the Rocket" Stein, star quarterback for the Gateway City Guardians. Judging by the size and angle of the picture, he's accessing the network from a mobile phone.]

So...this is the Numbered network thing, huh? I've looked around a little, can't say I've actually posted to this thing before. It's a little too weird for me, you know? But if it's going to keep getting weirder, if I'm reading this thing right.

[Because he's gone back and looked at things. You people are all strange.]

Not like I've found any answers to my particular brand of weirdness, I gotta say.

[He leans back a little bit.]

Can anyone tell me if it's normal to be getting the same...things...as someone else?

Identical Echoes? It is . . . not common, but has happened before.

...I asked about the same thing when I first came around here. I didn't get many useful answers to that one.

That's a shame.

Because it's really damn weird to have the exact same thing happening to someone else.

Same, like they're very similar, multiple people seeing the same thing? Or... same, like two people with the exact same pulse? The former suggests someone whose original is from the same world, which is rare but has precedent. The latter... is extremely unique. I don't know that it's come up.

The second one. Like we're both, uh...running kind of hot. And we're remembering some things from the same angle and everything, but then others are different.

Not like we've got a whole lot of memories to go off of at this point. It's what, two?

That's new, then. And very baffling. Maybe it's like the Infinity Silhouette?

Ah, don't mind my musing. Yes, things will get weird, but I like to think we're starting to get used to weird again.

It came off the same trigger, just identical information. Given what we were to each other in that past life, it did not come as a surprise to either of us that what we'd gotten had been the same.

[Blaise might have been entirely thrilled to see a football star on the screen, but... well, recent happenings haven't left him in the best of spirits. But, here he is, on the Network, trying to make friends, when he finds something about "same things" on here.]

Same things...?

[Admittedly, he's a bit baffled, and he listens to a few of the other reactions.]

Oh... e-echoes... No, I can't... I can't say I've had anyone see mine the same. It seems pretty weird. Uhm... w-what kinds of echoes are they?

[Dima does not at all recognize the face on the screen. Largely because he knows nothing about American football other than it's somehow different to everyone else's football.]

The same things--as in, echoes? That sounds strange.

Are you talking about similar items, or powers?

Like the what silhouette?

Starting to get weird? With this sort of thing, they actually stopped?

This...I'm still not sure what triggered it.

And it's not just the same thing, I mean, it's the same same. Like we were in the same place at the same time from the exact same viewpoint, and it's not like it was long enough for us to figure out much.

Plus, we're both running temperatures right now. Like...we should probably be in the hospital, but we feel fine.

Well, there's a memory we've both got from seemingly identical angles and places and everything...and then we're both running what should probably be the sort of fever that would land you in the hospital but isn't.

[A face Ronnie would have seen only occasionally, on a younger man, would greet him today. And yet, he seems to recognize him... sadly, not for said boyhood encounters.]

[Yes, Weller enjoys football.]

I can't say that it's normal, or that I have much personal experience with it, but I have heard of pairs of people experiencing pulses together. My name is Edwin Weller, for the record.

One of my wife's pulses. The only way for two people to remember something from the same angle is to be in the same physical spot, right? The Infinity Silhouette is a special form I have, together with the rest of my team, and that Lily's other shared with her team. Several people come together into one huge, powerful body, which means they all share one set of eyes - they'd all see the same thing, the same way. [She laughs lightly.] Not that I'm accusing you of being a magical girl. That'd be weird.

And yes, the weird stopped for a while. Things kind of took a break, after the invasion last year. I think it was fate giving us a breather before we started the whole thing over again.

Maybe you were just really close together?

[That's his best bet, anyway.]

Or maybe you're twins or something? And you shared powers.

[Blaise... not everything is twins...]

Raised body temperatures, but not fevers? That sounds like reason to visit the doctor.

Are the memories exactly identical? Or the same event from different perspective?

It was frustrating, to say the least.

Apparently the exact same thing is mostly unheard of, but similar things are more likely.

That's the most I really got.

[Lazarus pays no attention to American football, or any sport for that matter, but having been in the same room as a television more than a few times in his life, he's definitely seen Ronnie's face. And being the type to never forget faces, or the names that go along with them...]

Welcome to the Network, Mr. Stein. As for your question... while it isn't normal, it's not unheard of either. What are you getting back? I saw something about a fever.

Ronnie? I don't know if you remember me, but I'm Dr. Faust. I'm a friend of your father's.

Are the two of you well at this time?

[Wait a second...]

Weller?

[There's a slight squint at him.]

That name sounds familiar. Have we met before?

[He's not quite made it to thinking back to the handful of times his father made the mistake of trying to bring him to work.]

I...don't think we're twins. I'm getting this stuff at the same time as my dad.

[Not that he sounds happy about that.]
