Photo/Video. Upholding a proud tradition.

[It’s a proud tradition afterall, the silly accidental first network post. This one comes with a photo though, of a rather famous face sitting at a table in a restaurant, smiling toward a camera.

It’s followed a few minutes later by a video post, revealing the girl herself.]

Oh, shoot, that was supposed to on my Instagram, not here. Oh, well, I guess the cat’s out of the bag now.

Hi, everybody, Kirara Hoshimoto here! I don’t really know what brought all this on, but it looks like I’m part of the group now. I guess we can call that picture a special gift just for this network, so if anybody wants an autographed version just let me know and I’ll send one right over, okay?

[She flashes the screen a big smile, winks and holds her hand up in the “V” sign.]

[There's a small pause on her end before she shakes her head with a small laugh.]

Only if you don't. I was pretty tired that night and my feet really were killing me.

How about we call this a fresh start?

Still, I think we should go into this acknowledging we both have different ways of approaching things.

Hm? [She blinks a bit at that.] What do you mean?

Outside of my writing, I can't really reach people like you. I'm direct and to the point. I don't know how to take that sort of thing off the page and do things like... an actor would. I'm good with a pencil or a brush, but every other way I'm direct and blunt as a bag of hammers.

Oh, that. [She waves a hand.] That's no big deal, a little blunt truth can be a good thing sometimes.

Besides, if there weren't people who were better writers than actors I'd be out of a job.

[Jasmine is... actually amused by that]

That's true! Heh, maybe one day we'll work on a project together...

[Well, this conversation is already going much better than their last one. She grins.]

Maybe! That comic of yours is getting pretty popular, right?

[Jasmine looked sheepish]

But maybe you could play someone in it. What color magical girl do you see yourself being?

[And she just laughs a bit.]

Most of what I've worked on is no Valhalla either.

[But then-- uh oh, that question. She actually knows the answer but... better not let on.]

Hmmm... I'd say you seem like a red. Definitely.

[Oh, man, red is definitely not her color. ... In more ways than one, buuuut she'd better just go with it. This isn't a good time to get wrapped up in anything, so she's gotta keep her cover here.]

Someone as energetic and standout as you... I don't know, it seems to fit.

Yeah, I guess you're right about that.

[She grins a little, as if amused by some kind of private joke. Might be kind of fun to play along here for a little while.]

Well, Rhonda's name when transformed is Magical Scarlet...

[She starts to reply but barely manages to get her mouth open when she stops short. Her expression going slack and her eyes losing focus for a moment. By now, it should be a familiar enough sign.]

... I know that expression. You just got an echo, didn't you?

[As per usual, the momentary daze of an Echo passes by pretty quickly and she's back to normal, blinking and shaking her head?]

An Echo? Oh, you mean one of those... memory thingies. I guess so....

[She blinks once or twice and then frowns a bit in aggravation.]

Is that just going to keep happening out of the blue like that?

[Jasmine is trying her damnedest not to laugh]

Yeah, it does whenever you get something that reoccurs from your previous life.

Did you think it was only going to happen a few times and then not at all?

I guess I didn't think about it.

[She sighs heavily, folding her arms.]

Jeez, that's really inconvenient. I don't need a bunch of random memories popping up when I'm trying to work.

I've been trying to get a support group going forever to help people get used to stuff like this, but nobody's shown enough interest.

Eh. I'll deal, somehow.
