Photo/Video. Upholding a proud tradition.

[It’s a proud tradition afterall, the silly accidental first network post. This one comes with a photo though, of a rather famous face sitting at a table in a restaurant, smiling toward a camera.

It’s followed a few minutes later by a video post, revealing the girl herself.]

Oh, shoot, that was supposed to on my Instagram, not here. Oh, well, I guess the cat’s out of the bag now.

Hi, everybody, Kirara Hoshimoto here! I don’t really know what brought all this on, but it looks like I’m part of the group now. I guess we can call that picture a special gift just for this network, so if anybody wants an autographed version just let me know and I’ll send one right over, okay?

[She flashes the screen a big smile, winks and holds her hand up in the “V” sign.]

I’ll see you all around. Bye!

Could you say one of your lines from Valhalla? The one about life and love? I really like that line! Brings me up on days I need a little boost.

That one? Hmm... it's been awhile, but I'll give it my best shot.

[She closes her eyes for a second, trying to get back into the mindset. That was a tough day of filming, up at the crack of dawn, outside in the winter weather so it was easy then to get into character but a little more difficult here in a warm, comfortable room. Okay, just remember the scene. Cold, tired, hungry, hopeful. If she's doing this, she's doing it right.

After a few seconds, she opens her eyes again, settling back into character. Sad, a little angry, but determined.]

"You know why I'm mad? Because you keep talking about things like love and happiness and... and life like you're the only one who knows what it's like to lose them! We've all lost something, but I think that... just because it's lost now doesn't mean it's gone forever. I think it's still out there, waiting for us, we just have to find it. Just one more step, every day, because they might be just one step away. That's what I think anyway... and that's why I'll never stop moving forward."

[Another beat, and she lets out a breath before her smile comes back.]

How was that?

[He's applauding, clapping his hands loudly together almost before she's even finished. Clearly, the young man is absolutely delighted by the recitation.]

That was incredible! I wish I'd been recording it, but I won't ask you to do it again.

[Clearly! She smiles again, ditching the character for the moment. She even gives a short bow at his applause.]

Thanks. It wasn't that great, but I did the best I could out of the blue like that.

No way, it was so great. Are Oscars still an award? You should get one of those! Or whatever they're giving out now instead, now that Hollywood's... well, you know.

An Oscar? Oh, well, I've heard rumors that something new might be coming along, but I don't expect to actually win anything like that.

[Imagine. Her, winning an Oscar, wouldn't that be something.]

... You really think so?

Yeah, I really do. I'm not really into all that acting stuff, not even in school, I was more like a "paint the sets and scenery" kind of guy and that was fine for me. But when you talk about that stuff I feel like the emotions are really real. If that makes sense or whatever.

[Okay, okay, she might have misjudged this guy at first. Anybody with such good taste in movies can't be a bad guy.]

That's really sweet of you to say, thank you.

[She smiles a bit with a small laugh.]

[He is certainly eager to please.]

[That wasn't... exactly what she meant, but seeing how excited he is over the idea she can't bring herself to shoot him down. Oh, well, if it happens, it shouldn't be a problem to mention one more name in her speech.]

[He's almost too happy to speak.]

[Welp. Looks like this is now happening. Apparently, she's won some kind of lifelong loyalty or something. She's... not totally sure how to feel about that.]

Oh, you really don't need to worry about it. I haven't even done anything for you yet.

[At least he seems nice enough. Really... eager but nice.]

[Okay, okay, she laughs a little bit. She can't help it, all that enthusiasm is kind of endearing.]

[Well, that sure is a little forward. She arches an eyebrow, although her tone is still light. She's pretty used to this after all.]
