Memory Incursion

[ACTION, Locke City, October 14th]

[This had already been something of a crazy month for Jasmine. She'd moved back to Locke, was staying with Marina in Winters' parents house, and in addition to all the Thunder Corp stupidity, there'd been all sorts of things popping out of the ether. Jasmine had been pondering about the implications of all this, but was also thankful she didn't seem to personally be the source of a lot of this.

That was on her mind as she stepped out the door on the morning of the 14th, and found numerous humanoid creatures in black standing on Rick and April's lawn.

It wasn't that Jasmine didn't recognize them. She did; she had seen them in one of her echoed memories. But... they were here... they were right in front of her...]

Um...

"Kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!"

[Jasmine frowned. This was going to be a long day.]

[Network, later in the day - video]

[Jasmine's face comes up, looking very annoyed.]

So uh. I now have a bunch of monkey-looking guys who seem to be made entirely of sand hanging around. They think they're my minions or something, or that I'm one of their bosses or whatever.

[She turns her phone to show the Snackies sitting on a lawn, some cross legged, some laying down, others just lazing about indiscriminately.]

They aren't leaving.

...

What the hell do I do with them?!

[There was a hiked brow to follow. Arthur wasn't exactly buying it.

Nobody gave up easy things like that.]

I'm surprised. Most people would jump at the chance to have followers.

[Pendragon weighed the end results of two choices, coming to a simple enough conclusion.

He could only give a neutral answer--well aware of the possible consequences of being incorrect.]

It's good, then, that you think like that.

[The alternative, though...]

Don't mistake it for praise.

[He wasn't complimenting her--only showing that he was pleased to see she provided a suitable answer.

Though, it wasn't as if he completely believed anyone in the first place.]

It wouldn't matter to you unless you had a different answer for me.

Nothing. From the start, I probably shouldn't have even spoken to you.

[Not out of dislike, but because he realized it would be tougher to target someone if they had a casual conversation.

It was the last thing he needed--familiarity.]
