It might have been a good thing that Rakka couldn't see Raye like this... smashed almost flat and injured to a point that a regular person wouldn't get back up from. Raye might have taken that though, if only because it was something. A response, a sign, any sign that Rakka was okay. But there was nothing and more than anything, that made dread grip her heart even tighter. All her worst fears whirled through her mind as she looked down at Rakka's blank face. Fear that there was no coming back, that this was the end....

Turning her head, furious eyes locked on the monster. The red streak in her hair glowed like a tongue of flame. Even as it swung its wings at Moonlight, she charged the beast with a mad battle cry and swung her fist at that lock face again with all of her might.
