Closed Action in Locke City
Who: Alexandra Ryker, Thunder Corp, Those in Locke City
What: Attempting to break into the Thunder Corp Warehouse.
Where: Locke City, Phoenix District.
When: Evening, October 6th
Why: Because breaking, entering and causing extensive property damage are fun.
Alexandra had been one of the few to see the message from the Thunder Corp scientist. She knew most of the other numbered were at least aware a message had been sent to them by now, thanks to a certain someone informing them all. She wasn't about to sit back and see how the rest of them were going to handle the situation, she was perfectly fine with taking matters into her own hands. Thunder Corp had a device that could track down the numbered, she was sure her grandfather could find a way to make use of something like that.
That thought is what had brought her to the Phoenix district of Locke this evening, she had spent a portion of her afternoon locating the warehouse that the message had shown and scoping out the area. It certainly didn't look like anything special as far as she was concerned, she would have thought there would at least be more than a few security guards keeping an eye on something so important.
Still... That wasn't exactly a huge concern to her, she was pretty confident one of her Nakewameke could deal with a whole lot more than what she had seen so far. A shoe had been able to go toe to toe with dinosaurs and other numbered after all, she'd just have to up her game for this one. It took her longer than she would have liked but she managed to track down one of the stone snakes that had been plaguing the city. She quickly transformed into her white haired alter-ego and prepared one of the red, diamond shaped cards.
“Nakewameke, do my bidding!” She threw the card at the creature and let out a burst of purple smoke once it connected. When it cleared the stone snake had grown into a massive stone hydra, each head marked by the red diamond symbol she had used to transform it.
Satisfied with her new creation, Alexandra directed it back toward the warehouse. Where she promptly ordered the massive creature to charge through the main door. It was more than willing oblige.

Regardless, two such guards are standing just within the fencing area of the warehouse, by a door leading inside. Lowering a flashlight, one greets the other and grins.
"Hey, Joe. 'Nother night, eh?"
"Yeah, Mac. Ugh, I know these guys pay well, but this is the most boring security gig I've ever had."
"Tell me about it, but hey - that ain't a bad thing, right? Hey! You catch that game last Sund--"
And that's that. Suddenly, said massive stone hydra is careening towards the warehouse. The men hardly have time to react, and though one goes for his radio, the other is frozen stiff. Whatever they've got? Isn't going to stop that.
Other guys scramble, opening fire on the monster. This... one way or another, is about to get messy.

Then all hell seemed to break loose. Jasmine grit her teeth, and took on her Precure form, flying towards the sound of it all... and when she realized where she was, she balked.
Oh hell. It was that warehouse. Growling, Jasmine pulled out her phone, and sent a text to Marina, Winter, and Lily, who she knew were in the city with her.
Monster attacking that warehouse. Need help.
In any case, these guys may clearly be Thunder Corp, but she doesn't want people to die. She summons a sphere of dark power, firing it at the snake. She doesn't seem to have noticed Alexandra yet, but she does already realize this is a bit different from the usual beasts that have been menacing the city.

Since Jasmine seems to be leading the attack on the massive stone beast, Marina diverts to head off towards the security guards, aiming to protect them. At this level, they're just guys doing their jobs, and probably not anyone who's a threat, so that's her first priority. "Move! Move, get on out of here, come on!"

When Cure Diamond arrives on the scene, she finds Twilight on offense and Marina on defense; it takes her a second to recognize how insanely huge the snake is, and by the time that's clicked, she's already helping to herd the remaining guards aside. "Your guns aren't high-caliber enough to take this thing! We'll handle this!" While she guides them, her thoughts are whirling - it's too big to be a normal snake, and the customary warning aurora over the city hadn't appeared to signal things getting worse again. So... what's going on? It's a question for consideration when its rampage doesn't put her too close for comfort, and as she pushes the last guard in her section out of the way a little sharply, she ducks behind a parked truck as debris flies through the spot she'd just been standing in. Poking her head out, she frowns heavily, commenting without much thought to if anyone's even there to hear her. "It's just so big... is this what we sensed? Something's not right..." Her eyes widen as a larger chunk of concrete comes flying at her, and she pulls her head back behind the corner just in time.

"THIS. WEEK."
She hadn't fought this many monsters built for them since she'd become a Precure!
She observes the monster, and something's familiar about it. Something she feels like she's seen in at least a couple of ways. She's caught up in that enough when the chunk of concrete comes flying for Winter, even as she ducks away, Moonlight's arm snaps out and her fist obliterates it in mid-air.
"We need to finish this. Fast."

The security guards bullets didn't seem to even catch the stone hydra's attention, they harmlessly bounced off it's rocky hide as it continued it's assault. The sphere of energy on the other hand did. It connected with one of the creatures heads causing it it to slam into the ground as a few hunks of rock were blown off. It didn't stop the creature but it 's momentum was shaken for a moment. Despite that it'll continue on and lash out with three of it's heads, attempting to bat Marina out of it's path.
It takes Alexandra a moment to realize that her everyone else has their attention on the monster and she has so far gone unnoticed. She decides to use this to her advantage to assist her Nakewameke. Alexandra will make a dash toward Jasmine before leaping up and attempting to drive her knee into the girls back.

"Great, now we have Numbered," the first of the guards said. "We're not equipped to handle any of this!"
"Calling it in!" the second replied, pulling out his communication device. "This is nightwatch, Sector 24-5! We have a Type-3 anomaly and several Numbered here! We need backup!"
"Understood. We're deploying the Advanced Tactical Unit. Find cover and maintain suppression fire until they arrive."
"... The ATU!? Are you serious?!"
Truth be told, none of the guards knew why any of these forces would even be here. They were just told to guard the entrances. But there was protocol, and they were trained to follow it. Meanwhile, the others? They moved to find cover; if their shots were going to be useless, they might as well be a bit safer doing it.

... Instead, she gets a knee in the back. Jasmine cries out, bouncing against the pavement. She forces herself to a stop and turns around, teeth grit in anger. "Who the hell are you?! Did you cause this?!"
no subject
A moment to steady herself, and a slight throb in her ankle, and she's up and off again, raising a hand to summon a familiar sight around herself. "Water Dragon!" she launches the torrent straight at the creature's body, more focused on repelling than destroying.
no subject
Sorry, Thunder guys. You're going to have to fend for yourselves.
no subject
As Marina's Water Dragon pulses out towards the hydra, Lily lands with a click of her heels, drawing up her hands. Light bursts forth from her palms, and she lets out a pure, unfocused blast of light energy to one of the snake's heads. It might only damage it a little bit, but really, she just wants to get its attention.
no subject
"The better question is "Why the hell are you people getting in my way?" Aren't these people your enemies?" It's about then that she hears Diamond shout out and it's back to business. She'll move to close the distance between her and Jasmine. She'll attempt to throw a kick at Jasmine's side in an attempt to her sprawling toward Diamond.
The torrent of water is enough to slow down the Stone Hydra for now, while the the blast of light energy manages to blast off a chunk from the one head and get it's attention. Since it's having trouble moving around at the moment, it's going to use bite down into the ground with four of it's heads and pull up small boulder sized hunks of concrete and earth. It's going to hurl two of those chunks at moonlight, one at Marina, and the final one at the cover the Thunder Corp guards are hiding behind.

At one sight of their saviors, though - they scramble. Nope, they are not paid enough for this.
Emerging from the warehouse are a set of four... soldiers? They're armored from head to toe, in what could only be described as futuristic looking armor that certainly looks military, if no military anyone has ever seen on this Earth. Each are armed with weapons that appear familiar, yet advanced beyond what one may have seen. Though the rocket launcher one such soldier is discarding is self explanatory enough. On one of them, they're shouldering something which looks... well beyond that, though. It's certainly a gun of some sort, but huge, even as they level an assault rifle at the hydra.
"ATU Beta Team! Spread out, flank the monster!" shouts the one soldier with the rather giant weapon as he secures it to his back, then fires off a round from the rifle at the hydra. "Check fire, magical girls are not on target!"
And so, they move. They move pretty fast, assault rifles blazing fire at the monster, though... obviously, they may not do that much damage. Yet they move with purpose, as if fully understanding that.

Then... then she hears the rocket hitting the debris, and her head snaps in that direction. Her eyes widen as she sees the guards. Gritting her teeth, she thrusts a sphere of red energy at Alexandra to keep her from attacking her in this moment of distraction.
"What the hell?! Since when do they have armor from a fucking sci fi movie?!"
no subject
On the one hand, Thunder Corp had space marines and they were fighting the beast and clearly ready for it, but not actually making much progress. On the other hand, some new dark magical girl was fighting her fucking fiance.
The snake was part of this girl's plan, though, it seemed; was it a distraction? Necessary for smashing down some kind of barrier? Did she need to stay nearby to command it?
Whatever the case, Marina was glad she'd practiced her aim, launching Icicle Blades down from above, along its body, without aiming at anyone else.
no subject
Thunder is defending the warehouse, which makes sense. Tall, red and obnoxious is... attacking the warehouse, but also attacking them. They're defending the warehouse, and not being attacked - intentionally, at least - by Thunder Corp's goons, but they are being attacked by the snake and the young woman. None of this makes sense.
Well, there's one easy enough question to start with, though getting an answer might not be so easy. "Hey!" she calls at the only person she hasn't figured out an allegiance for yet. "Who the hell are you, anyway?"
no subject
Remembering when they stole Project Jump, much like Winter, that somehow doesn't make her feel a whole lot better. As Marina's icicle blades come raining down upon it, Moonlight draws out her Tact and begins to ready herself.
"If we can keep it off balance enough, I might be able to finish it... I just can't get caught in the crossfire they're laying down..."
Because, she knows just as well. Her transformation does not make her invincible - in fact, it's almost deceptive that way.

That dodge has to turn into a full retreat when Diamond launches her attack. Alexandra breaks away from Jasmine by leaping back a few feet to avoid the Twinkle Diamond, though it manages to catch and freeze her coat-tails of her jacket solid. ...Her eyes narrow and she let's out an annoyed breath, that was too close for comfort.
"I'm someone who would really appreciate it if you idiots got the hell out of the way, and stopped defending people who were obviously your enemies!" It probably wasn't the answer Winter was looking for, but it wasn't a lie either.

The Stone Hydra found itself pelted by gunfire but that didn't exactly bother it, it was much more annoyed by the blades of ice that managed to pierce into it's hide. The thunder corp troops were fast and annoying but the two magical girls were the bigger threat as far as it was concerned at the moment, or at least until it's master gave it new orders.
The hydra turns toward both Marina and Lily and lashes out at the both of them, attempting to slam into them with it's heavy body. After the initial attack it's multiple heads will strike out at all of it's attackers, trying to catch any of them in it's snapping jaws.

...until its heads snap out, and they all move at once. Fast, quicker than a normal human might be capable of, they leap back, pulling away from the snapping heads, and reach one brings a free hand to grip something.
Before chucking grenades in each snapping mouth near them.

A black and red flowerbud appeared at the end of Twilight's weapon, which was pointed directly at Alexandra... only for Jasmine to jerk her arm to the side, and without looking, fire the Dark Forte Wave at Alexandra's hydra. Even with her feint, she was able to keep it from coming anywhere near her comrades.
"You don't know ANYTHING," she said. "These guys don't know anything. And who the hell is going to pay the price for your little temper tantrum?! Locke City!"
She grit her teeth, and continued focusing on what was in front of her. She had helped distract the Hydra, it was time to trust in her friends.

A few scrapes, maybe a bruise or two, but she snapped to her feet in time to see grenade lobbing. Synchronized grenade lobbing, impressive, sure, and terrifying that Thunder Corp has troops like this.
Troops. They're nothing short of actual soldiers. All she needs to do is take a pot shot...
Gritting her teeth, she stood back to watch. Maybe that hydra could focus on them, instead of her, while she made her way over to Jasmine and Alexandra, trying to skirt around the battle.

She's aware of Lily being threatened, but... her partner's a big girl. She can handle herself. All of her friends can. It's a reassuring thought, compared to some of the past times things have devolved into chaos.

When the grenades go flashing out. There's explosions to follow, to be sure, but... she's not really going to get a clean shot at this point, is she?
Gritting her teeth, the crystal of her Moon Tact flashes and she thrusts it up into the air.
"Shine, flowers!" A massive bulb of energy expands out above her, which she promptly swings down and launches at the hydra. "Precure! SILVER FORTE WAVE!"
Of course, it's not well aimed, either. She could easily have sent it wide, or it could be a monster that requires more than the power of one Precure to cleanse it - still, Cure Twinkle was able to take out this girl's last attempt. Lily figures she should be good... so long as it connects.
no subject
Unfortunately she doesn't have much time to act after that feint as she's soon assaulted by Winter. She manages to raise an arm up to block the kick but it still manages to knock her off balance.
"A warehouse that has things you know they plan to use on you later!" She makes an attempt to grab for one of Winter's arms, if she gets hold of her she'll pivot and attempt to hurl her at Jasmine. It's not exactly the most elegant of attacks but things aren't exactly going her way at the moment.
The Hyrda isn't exactly having the best day either. It was looking to chew on some high tech soldiers, not grenades. The explosives go off in the four heads and manage to destroy three of them, while leaving the other in complete shambles. It's remaining heads let out a frenzied cry though that's quickly cut off when Jasmine's attack connects with it's body and knocks off a another large hunk of stone.
The turns itself around and darts over at one of the soldiers, only avoiding the Silver Forte Wave by luck that it wasn't a well aimed shot. It'll attempt to coil around and crush one of them with it's large body, while it's tail sweeps around and attempts to bat a second away.
no subject
The others? They're not afraid to take advantage of exposed weakness, aiming at the parts where the hydra's armor has been blown off, concentrating their fire there.
no subject
There's not much room to retort to Alexandra in this. Her efforts right now are focused on protecting her own.
no subject
"Jas! What's up with that chick anyways?"
[Closed]
Alarms blared as the magical girls and elite soldiers fought the monster above, which meant security was in a frenzy. The Advanced Tactical Unit had been deployed, but that left the rest of them to prepare for the worst cast scenario where they failed.
"Ugh, this is a nightmare," one patrolman said as he hurried through the halls. "I thought we were done with Numbered trying to bust in here."
"I guess that's what the higher ups meant about it only being a matter of time," said his comrade. "But why are they attacking? Nothing has been held here since-"
"That doesn't matter," the first interrupted. "There's more than enough information on the mainframe to be a serious security risk. Besides, you know they don't tell us how much information has or hasn't leaked."
His comrade frowned and didn't reply further, he just kept running in step with his fellow soldiers, which numbered in five, including the two of them. At the very least, as they began to round the bend to head to the mainframe, he took solace in the fact that they were on a low enough level that any kind of security risk would be long taken care of before it ever reached them.

Alexandra's attack is pretty fortuitous, really. Satsuki had planned for something far more elaborate, but... this will do.
The thread-born tendrils suddenly jutting out of the darkness beyond the patrolmen are silent. Less so, are the likely sudden cries as the tendrils sharpen into blades, jamming straight through the backs of two men, severing quite a few vital functions within moments. The blades then just as quickly retract back into the darkness, even as they twitch happily at the new blood staining them.
