Who: Phillip, Toushirou, and an open prompt for ANYONE!
What: Phillip's best method of getting CR: dog walking
Where: Gateway, in the park or just around where it might be a good place for dogs.
When: September 30th

It's a nice day out- the sun is shining, the air is crisp, there are no killer dinosaurs on the loose... seems like a good opportunity for dog walking!

Which is exactly what Phillip's doing. Gloria the golden retriever got moved with the familiar from Locke to Gateway (because like Phillip was going to agree to leave her behind), and though she's beginning to slow down a bit she still loves walks. And combining the fact that she's not as fast as she used to be and that Phillip's gotten bigger, she doesn't drag him through the park so much anymore.

However, both she and Phillip are very friendly towards people, so when she strains towards someone (possibly you) wanting attention, Phillip will comply if it looks ok. "Hello! Sorry, she's really friendly sometimes..."

2. closed to Toushirou

Towards the end of the walk, Phillip heads towards their final destination- not his home, but the home of one Toushirou Hitsugaya. Who might pretend to be cranky about a great number of things, including Phillip and his dog, but Phillip knows better at this point. He climbs up the apartment stairs with the very enthusiastic golden retriever (she knows where they are), only stopping when he reaches the door to knocks.

"You're so cute! You have this baby face! You know who you remind me of? This cute boy with white hair who is also super adorable with a baby face! But he ran away from me when I blinked. He was so fast! I tried to find him, but he was gone! I wonder how he did it?"

Blaise lets go of Phillip as he starts to think.

"Last he said, he was going to a grocery store, I think. I wonder if he's okay. I think he was an albino, it was so incredible! Oh, and he was so grumpy! It was kind of funny! I wanted to follow him and help him out, but he disappeared. I hope I'll see him again someday. I really want to be friends."

Pretty soon, he's sitting back with Gloria and petting her all over again, because puppy! With so much cute, his brain isn't exactly on the same track right now.

If Phillip were thinking a little bit more, he might learn something from this. Namely, what his own brand of steamroller conversation can often feel like to Toushirou. ...Who it sounds like this guy is talking about. And called him cute? Oh, he can only imagine how poorly Toushirou would have taken that. He can see why his friend might have just run away.

Phillip himself isn't entirely sure how to take being called 'baby face'd, but... Blaise seems to have meant it as a compliment so that's good, right? He will take it that way! Gloria at least is unaffected by the barrage of words, so that gives Phillip a moment to orient himself. "So, um... do you live around here?" he says, more awkward than he normally would but he's trying to get the conversation back to a track that he can follow.

Yes, Toushirou took it very poorly. But, that's something Blaise just never caught on to. Hell, Blaise is barely affected by the fact that Toushirou ran away. Just more opportunity, in his happy-go-lucky opinion.

"Oh, yea! I live like, ten minutes up the street!" Blaise says eagerly. "Hey, do you want to go feed ducks? I brought bread, we can share!" He opens his backpack to show Phillip the loaf. "See? It'll be fun, before it gets too cold for them to stay! C'mon!" He hooks his arm around Phillip's and starts to happily pull him along. It's not a fast pace, thankfully, so Gloria shouldn't have problems keeping up.

Oooh. Phillip would not say no to feeding ducks, so he doesn't even mind that he wasn't actually given a choice. "Ok!" he says cheerfully, catching up to the pace quickly and Gloria padding along besides them when she caught on to the fact that they were moving. "Do you feed the ducks a lot?"

Blaise beams with smiles.

"I try to! It's fun to watch them swim or waddle over to the bread. Sometimes they come up to you, if they're friendly enough! They're really cool! Wouldn't it be neat if we could swim like them? Although, webbed toes might be funny. And walking on land might be weird. Ohmygosh, and ducklings are so CUTE! So fluffy and peepy and they follow their mama around!"

Blaise leads Phillip next to a pond with alot of ducks swimming in it. He opens the loaf of bread and takes a few pieces, then he holds the bag out to Phillip. He's like a cheerful child in a candy shop as he tears the pieces and tries to lure some of the ducks close to him. He'll even try to pet one, if they get close enough. Of course, they'll waddle away before he can succeed. So, he'll just laugh and feed them more bread.

Is peepy a word? Phillip's not sure, but he can sort of get what Blaise is talking about. He's not really sure what to do with someone who talks more than he does- it's a pretty rare thing, after all. But he seems nice! Even if Phillip is suddenly not sure how to say anything back!

He'll smile and take a few pieces with a cheerful 'thanks!', tearing off pieces of his own. Phillip knows they probably won't be able to pet the ducks, but it's fun to watch the other boy try.

Yes, peepy's a word ~~(no, it's not)~~.

Between ducks and Gloria, Blaise isn't sure which to give more attention to. It's okay if the ducks won't let him pet them, Gloria will. Gloria seems to be really sweet and give lots of affection. Blaise will give her hugs. Today is a good day. If he had a tail of his own, he would definitely be wagging it.

"So, what kinds of fun things do you do, uhm... erm..." Blaise realises he didn't get the chance to listen to Phillip's name when he glomped him. Oops. He gives a slightly nervous laugh. "I'm sorry, what was your name?"

Oh, right. "My name's Phillip," he says, with a smile as he tosses out more bread for the ducks- Gloria is totally fine getting the attention from this new friend. "And, um... well, I like taking Gloria on walks, and playing soccer, and acting. What about you?"

"Ooh, you're an actor! How cool! Do you want to do movies? What would you star in? What's your favourite role? Did you ever do Oliver Twist - 'Please sir, I want some more~' Does Gloria play soccer with you? I bet she has lots of fun chasing the ball! Does she score any goals? I bet she's smart enough to keep score!

"I like to explore, play video games, and visit the soda shop~! There's so many odd places around here that no one seems to really pay attention to. They're really neat! It's kind of like sidequesting in a video game, so I guess that's why I like it so much! I would like to be a hero like in the games, though. Wouldn't it be cool? And all those secret places would lead to secret tunnels that have an awesome artifact. And then get rewarded with an awesome soda flavour!" He cheers, pumping his fist into the air.

There are so many words. "Um...! I don't, it would be cool to try. I was Tobias in Sweeney Todd once and that was fun. Gloria like soccer too! Or, well, she likes to chase the ball, she doesn't really know the rules." He might have missed a couple of questions in there, but... he tried.

"I like video games too! What kinds do you like?" Admittedly, Phillip doesn't play a lot of video games since his other hobbies take considerably more time, but.

"I really like the ones with heroes." Blaise smiles, his answer a little more tame. "When I was a kid, I wanted to be a hero, just like that. Someone everyone can look up to, who always fights the bad guys and does good things. So playing all sorts of heroic video games feels good."

He laughs a little bit, thinking about what kind of heroism he did get.

"The ones that have you make choices are harder. It can be so easy to think you're picking the right one, but end up having it be a wrong move further down in the game."

The bit about wanting to be a hero actually concerns Phillip a little bit. He... knew someone like that, and things got out of hand with Luke very, very quickly. "Oh, yeah, those are hard. I haven't played a lot, but some of my friends like this." Though, some of his school friends pick the bad choices on purpose just to see.

"Yea, but they can be fun if you get lucky with your choices. And... sometimes running into a negative circumstance can be fun too, if it isn't too devastating. I really, really like happy endings, though. So, I usually stick to the games where you only play a good guy."

Blaise gets licked by Gloria and he laughs a little as he gives her more pets. "Where did you get your puppy? I want one. Maybe my parents will let me, especially if it's this sweet."

"Um..." Oh, gosh, Phillip has to think about that. "I dunno, my parents got her when I was... six, maybe? And we were still in Locke, then. I think they got her from a breeder." And who knows if that person would still be doing it now, seven years later and after an alien invasion.
