Who: Phillip, Toushirou, and an open prompt for ANYONE!
What: Phillip's best method of getting CR: dog walking
Where: Gateway, in the park or just around where it might be a good place for dogs.
When: September 30th

It's a nice day out- the sun is shining, the air is crisp, there are no killer dinosaurs on the loose... seems like a good opportunity for dog walking!

Which is exactly what Phillip's doing. Gloria the golden retriever got moved with the familiar from Locke to Gateway (because like Phillip was going to agree to leave her behind), and though she's beginning to slow down a bit she still loves walks. And combining the fact that she's not as fast as she used to be and that Phillip's gotten bigger, she doesn't drag him through the park so much anymore.

However, both she and Phillip are very friendly towards people, so when she strains towards someone (possibly you) wanting attention, Phillip will comply if it looks ok. "Hello! Sorry, she's really friendly sometimes..."

2. closed to Toushirou

Towards the end of the walk, Phillip heads towards their final destination- not his home, but the home of one Toushirou Hitsugaya. Who might pretend to be cranky about a great number of things, including Phillip and his dog, but Phillip knows better at this point. He climbs up the apartment stairs with the very enthusiastic golden retriever (she knows where they are), only stopping when he reaches the door to knocks.

"... I see," Jasmine replied with a short nod. "Yeah, I moved out to Shepherd's Haven a few months after the invasion, so I understand what you're saying."

She laughed nervously. "But ah... I actually ended up going back with my fiance recently..."

Yeah, the moving back part makes sense, even if Phillip doesn't personally consider it an option. "Because of the snakes?" That whole things seems super bad.

Jasmine flinches for a moment. "Yeah. You'd think it'd be pretty hard. I'm scared to death of those things... until it comes time to fight..."

A thought occurred to her and she blinked.

"Hey, while I'm there, is there anything you want me to look in on?"

"Um..." Phillip thinks about this. Sadly, he's not sure there's a lot he can actually ask anyone else to look for without going himself. Which is a bad idea. "No one's seen the new guardian pop or anything, right?"

Jasmine blinked. "New... guardian?" she asked. That took her a minute, before realization hit her.

"Oh! That shadow thing that popped up? I haven't even heard anything about it since it first appeared, no. Why... why do you ask?"

Phillip does not want to answer that question. "Well, with the snakes coming back... I dunno. I knows she's not a snake thing, but it seemed kind of worrying."

Yes, he called the guardian 'she.' But he doesn't know anything about it! Nope!!!

"... She? You just called it a she..."

Jasmine narrowed her eyes. "Philip, do you know something about that thing...?"

Shit. "Um... no?"

Phillip is a very good actor. However, he has yet to discover the parallel between acting and lying. So... yeah, he's pretty much the worst liar ever.

Jasmine grit her teeth in frustration. "Philip, you and I both know you're hiding something. I don't have to know you well at all to figure that out. It's written all over your face. What do you know?"

Yeah, ok, so Phillip has walked right into the conversation he didn't want to have. He grimaces, closing his eyes for a moment and thinking. He... doesn't have to tell her everything. There is a very limited number of people who know exactly why he wants to stay away from Nyx.

He appears to relent, opening up his eyes and looking vaguely miserable, but. "She's a goddess, from the other guy's world. ...She's not a good goddess."

Okay... that got Jasmine's mind going in a million directions. But the first thing she did was reach out and put her hand on Philip's shoulder.

"Okay... That's honestly a lot to take in. But... I understand why you were reluctant to tell me that."

There's more to it, but, uh... he barely knows you. Jasmine's kind of lucky she got that much out of him. "Yeah. So, I feel like since she's a guardian she probably... won't do anything terrible? But. If she shows up anywhere..."

"... To be fair, any of those guys coming out for any reason usually spells trouble for us," Jasmine said, drawing her hand back. "Look, this is something you're obviously having trouble with. I won't dig any deeper for now, okay?"

"Yeah." It might just be even worse with Nyx.

That gets Phillip to relax a bit, unaware that he'd been kind of tense in the first place. He really, really doesn't want to talk about her anymore than he has to. "Thanks."

"... Are you okay with me telling anyone else?" she said. "I... I don't feel right keeping secrets from my fiance and family."

Oh. Well... Phillip is very clearly not totally comfortable with this idea, but he also doesn't want to make her feel bad (even though he is keeping quite a few things from his own family) so... he'll nod. "Y-yeah, ok."

"... Alright," she said with a nod. "Thank you."

She looked to the side. "If there's anything you need to talk about, then... let me know."
