She's on her knees with a hand at her head.]

[She knocks against the side of her skull, and there's the sound of flesh and bone against a metal plate.]

What the fuck? Is this happening to everyone?

Not many, but a few. And really only by a few months, I was pretty early on.

Even if you lost your echoes, though, your life would still be tough. Think about just losing all that.

It'd fix a few problems.

[He wouldn't want to start fights so much for one.]

It'd create a few, too. Nothing that's been a part of you for that long would just vanish without a trace.

Pretend it happened. What's the first thing you'd do?

Sounds to me like you've been hard enough on yourself already.

Honey, I've been around for a few years now, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that you can beat yourself up and beat yourself up, and the only thing you get for it is beat up.

[Voice]

Yeah, well. It's what I deserve so might as well get to it.

You're wrong, but no one likes a pity party. After a certain point, you gotta pick yourself up and keep moving. That's just what we do when life throws us hurt and heartbreak.

Yeah, yeah. Look I got some shit going on that I don't really feel like sharing with everyone. I've said too much about it already.

I am moving it just happens to be in a way a bunch of people disagree with.

You're making it sound like a hell of a lot of people disagree, and when that's the case maybe it's worth considering that they have a point or two.

I've considered it. Thing is they're missing part of the puzzle, and it's a piece they really just can't understand.

It's safer for everyone this way.
