[Nux is very frequently shirtless, even when the weather's a little cold and nippy. Summer's coming in the Southern Hemisphere, so this is true even more often, but today, there's something really different about the familiar sight of his slender, well-muscled torso. It's also adorned with elaborate scarification that looks like car parts. He keeps touching and scratching at it, looking distracted and a little bit distraught.]

So, uh... people are remembering things, yeah? I was digging a hole for fenceposts and I was daydreaming, but... you know, during the day.

You... you know what I'm trying to say, right? I was there, but I wasn't there. I had this thing on my chest when I woke up, and I remembered the sort of... religion my Other had. He definitely wasn't Catholic. I think he worshiped cars, called it the Cult of the V8.

I mean, I like cars, but I don't think they're gods or anything like that.

Well, yeah. But if it's something you're worried about and you're not proud of that means you don't want to be that, so it's fine.

You're welcome, I guess. I dunno, I just think weird stuff has happened.

Weird stuff? Yeah! Uh, yeah it definitely has. But it's getting better now, all getting better. We got communities.

Yeah, I guess we do. [sometimes Phillip forgets about that, with how little he uses the network since the invasion.]

I've been on the Network for a while, so I'm probably ok... but we should be friends anyway!

We should! You like to fix cars? Or work out?

Um... I like soccer? [that's like working out right??] I'm 13, so I don't really know a lot about cars.

Soccer? Yeah. Yeah! We could play soccer. We should put together a Numbered league. Want to do that? We could make fliers and post about it on the Network and everything!

This guy I know, Nathan, he could definitely be a part of it.

Oh! That sounds awesome! [yeees soccer friends!] Toushirou plays soccer, too.

Toushirou? Haven't met him, but if you like him, he must be really cool. What's he like?

[darkhourdear]

He is! [and no ice puns for them] He's a year older than me, and he acts grumpy a lot, but he's really nice when you get to know him!

[the thing about his age is kind of a warning, should Nux ever actually meet him.]

Oh! Yeah, I actually know a lot of people like that! Know how to talk to them and all. We'll get along great.

There's a lot of room out here to play soccer, and the weather's right. Summer's pretty much here in New Zealand, even though it's winter in North America. I didn't know that before I came here! Was shocked to see snow on the ground when we first moved.

[darkhourdear]

Oh, right! Because it's different hemispheres and stuff. Is it really hot?

[witnessme]

Well, uh, sometimes. More in the summer time, which would be winter for all of you up north. We're kind of near the ocean and not that far from mountains, so uh, those probably affect the weather a little.

[darkhourdear]

It's almost winter here. [sort of. it's fall so that counts right?]
