Nathan is open to it, which might say something about how unsettled he is. Generally, his safe places are the ones away from new people . . . and often people as a whole. When he's frightened, he retreats. But he needs company to help distance himself from the Echo. He'd just experienced people dying all around him; not being alone will help a lot.
