Thunder Corp Recruitment Drive
Who: Everyone who agreed to be approached by Thunder Corp
When: September 21st
What: Thunder Corp is out to recruit
Where: Various Locations
On the date of September 21st, the visitations begin.
For some, they arrive in the form of men in well-pressed business suits. All of them are fit and attractive, almost artificially so, carrying suitcases that contain contracts they wish for those they approach to sign. Their friendliness is also absolute, though they are somehow aggressive at the same time. They've bought themselves into absolutely every location possible, either having traveled great distances with ease or simply found people where they would logically be. In any case, they approach their "targets" out of the blue, greeting them with an outstretched hand and an aggressively polite demeanor.
Still others receive a message in the form of electronic mail. The approach is different simply as a matter of personal resource. How exactly did they find out your e-mail address? Why, it's for the same reason they're able to approach people wherever they happen to be right now: They're Thunder Corp, and they are very resourceful! That's how!
A much more pressing question would be... how did they know you are a Numbered?
[OOC: There's two threads you can reply off of depending on how you decided to be contacted, ones for being approached in person, and ones for being contacted by personal e-mail.]

Rightfully so."....Oh. Uhh, hmm..." Stuttering was the end result of that surprise. Not for lack of things to say, though - there were many things, floating in Rakka's mind, that the Haibane wanted to tell the agent right there. Some of them were less then kind. Quite a few of them, actually, if she thought about it. Just how long would this keep up?
She cleared her throat a little. "A-and, you think having the Numbered join your company will improve everything...?"
no subject
"We think it will be a valuable step toward improvement, yes. Some of your fellows have already put their support behind us, and we're hoping that you'll see the value in what we're offering and how it can benefit everyone."

It's that second statement that catches her, leaving her mouth hanging open mid-word forming. It makes Rakka fret, though her subconscious promptly pops up with a reasonable reply to that: he was simply lying. If Thundercorp was honestly attempting to get some Numbered on their side, she would have heard about it from the others! ....Right?
"....Well, this is really sudden, you see. I don't think I could make such a big decision like this right now - Maybe.... later? If that's alright."
no subject
"You don't think that you can decide immediately? That's fine. Would you like it if I left you with some contact information for after you thought it over? I'd be happy to touch base with you in a week or two, as well, if you're open to that."
no subject
"Uhh, yes. That sounds like a good idea." A better idea then being pressured into it right now. "That will probably give me... enough time to think about it."
Don't expect many phone calls, is what she means.

Eric Ellis
Thunder Corp
XXX-XXXX
"If you do decide to join us, you won't regret it. We really hope that you'll make the decision that benefits all of us," he says pleasantly, sliding the card toward her across the table's surface.

But she knew they truth. They all did, so what was the plan here?
"Thank you..." She mumbled a bit, sliding the card into her pants pocket for the time being. She fixed a tiny smile on her face. "I'll think about it; for the time being... I kind of have some work I need to do."
Which is a very polite way of saying he has to leave now.
"Maybe... we'll work together one day. I do want to help everyone."
no subject
"You're welcome," he beams, setting his hat on top of his head again and tipping the brim forward amiably. "I want to help everyone too, Miss Yoshitoshi, so it's my hope that we'll be in touch sooner rather than later."
no subject
"Uhh, yes. I'll try and reply as soon as I can, Mister... Ellis."

She took one look at the card again, turning it over and over, running her fingers over the styled font. It was real; all of that happened.
The only thing to do was lock the door, close the blinds, and think about what happened next.
