I'm sure you've all seen the news about the slime that's popping up all over. I was able to secure a sample of it this morning when I was doing my morning flyby of the reserve, and, well...

[He holds up a book. It looks like a volume of shoujo manga with the title Love Touch. It appears to be rugby-themed.]

I must say, I wasn't expecting it to turn into this.

[He flips the book open and leafs through the pages.]

It's not bad, really...not that I'm sure I want to enjoy a cup of coffee while reading a book that used to be composed of green slime.

[Yet he's still leafing through the book, and it looks as though he's about to get horribly distracted reading it.]

It's always nice not to have people willing to attack you for only trying to help people.

You would think that'd be a given. It always seems so much simpler in stories.

Someday, I think I'd like to sit down and write new stories--one that let people know how things really are.

[How things really are, as according to a guy who used to be a parrot in a zoo who now lives inside a giant robot dinosaur...]

I've already written a story. I just thought that was... behind us.

[It had been cathartic, to put all of that to paper. But... Now, what? If things are beginning again?]

Life is a constant story! I'm sure you'll have a sequel someday, though with any luck, it'll detail events that weren't quite so destructive.

Okay, I suppose that's a good point. So long as we stick together, though... I'm sure we can figure this one out too, yeah?

We can! We've survived an alien invasion; compared to that, this should be relatively simple.

Well, I won't say "simple" since we don't know quite what we're dealing with... but I agree with the sentiment that we can do it, at least.
