Photo/Video. Upholding a proud tradition.

[It’s a proud tradition afterall, the silly accidental first network post. This one comes with a photo though, of a rather famous face sitting at a table in a restaurant, smiling toward a camera.

It’s followed a few minutes later by a video post, revealing the girl herself.]

Oh, shoot, that was supposed to on my Instagram, not here. Oh, well, I guess the cat’s out of the bag now.

Hi, everybody, Kirara Hoshimoto here! I don’t really know what brought all this on, but it looks like I’m part of the group now. I guess we can call that picture a special gift just for this network, so if anybody wants an autographed version just let me know and I’ll send one right over, okay?

[She flashes the screen a big smile, winks and holds her hand up in the “V” sign.]

[Misa takes a deep breath, trying very hard to come across as a professional. She is a journalist, after all, she can't go being all star-struck. Or she should at least try to hide it.]

[Totally a natural reaction. Kirara's not complaining of course, if anything, she's eating up all these reactions.]

[She laughs a bit.]

Well, I'll see what I can do. I think my agent might have a heart attack over this if I just started talking about this stuff in interviews.

Ah, I totally understand! It's a sensitive subject, we'll have to be very careful about it.

[Sneaking in a 'we' there, yes.]

Maybe I can get in touch with your agent and we can talk about it? I'm a journalist, so I have some experience with this sort of thing.

[Yep, she saw that. Pretty sneaky, but she's dealt with journalists before.

... Or more accurately, had her agent deal with journalists before.]

Yeah, I'd rather keep things on the down-low for now. But, hey, I can give you my agent's contact info and go from there.

Hehe! Funny, I was just saying awhile ago that you guys really needed somebody to be your face. Y'know, get people on your side. I didn't think it might end up being my job back then.

[She pauses for a moment, tilting her head thoughtfully.]

It's weird, though. When I came to the States I didn't realize people over here were so angry. It isn't nearly this bad back home.

[Her smile drops a bit as Kirara continues.]

It's the same for me. People were a lot more welcoming back home... Well, people are pretty nice in New Zealand too. But I wouldn't want to move back to America now, with everything that happened there.

Yeah, but I guess considering how bad things got here during the invasion....

[She looks contemplative for a moment and then gives an indignant huff, crossing her arms.]

No, forget it. It's still dumb!

I totally agree! Have you thought about moving somewhere else? Or do you have to be there for filming...?

Oh, I'm not planning on staying here permanently anyway, but this is where work is for now. There's a new project in the works so I'm stuck for now.

[She grins though, and winks a little at the camera.]

It's top secret though, so don't ask.

[Misa obviously perks up at the mention of a new project.]

[She clasps her hands together and does her best puppy dog pout.]

[She looks thoughtful for a few seconds and then answers that puppy dog face with a wink.]

But I don't know about a journalist.

[She knows this game.]

[Misa dramatically puts a hand to her heart, looking crushed.]

To think the great Kirara Hoshimoto could be so cruel!

[She snickers a bit, before tilting her head upwards in a haughty expression.]

Nobody ever made it in show business with a kind heart.

Hey, I may be just a reporter, but I have a few hints what it's like! In a different world, Misa was a movie star!

Oh, really? [Now she's interested.] ... Is it weird that that actually sounds way cooler to me than getting superpowers or magic robots or whatever?

[An echo passes through her, making her suddenly remember that speaking in third person was one of the idol's cutesy quirks. Odd, but for the moment she rolls with it.]

Misa would much rather become a star than something scary like that!

[... Okay, that's a little odd. At first Kirara had just thought that she'd been fooling around but now I guess talking in the third person is going to be a thing all of a sudden? Weird....]

Yeah, me too. Although I guess some superpowers wouldn't hurt. [Hopping across rooftops is pretty fun, even if she's not going to admit to doing it quite yet.

Let's just... see if the speech pattern keeps being a thing here.]

[Is that a judging vibe she detects...?]

Flying would be pretty amazing! Rakka's wings are so cool.

[Whaaaat? No, she must be hearing things.]

They're adorable! They look a little small to really fly with but who cares when they look that cute?

Totally! Besides, if they were too big they would probably get in the way.
