Photo/Video. Upholding a proud tradition.

[It’s a proud tradition afterall, the silly accidental first network post. This one comes with a photo though, of a rather famous face sitting at a table in a restaurant, smiling toward a camera.

It’s followed a few minutes later by a video post, revealing the girl herself.]

Oh, shoot, that was supposed to on my Instagram, not here. Oh, well, I guess the cat’s out of the bag now.

Hi, everybody, Kirara Hoshimoto here! I don’t really know what brought all this on, but it looks like I’m part of the group now. I guess we can call that picture a special gift just for this network, so if anybody wants an autographed version just let me know and I’ll send one right over, okay?

[She flashes the screen a big smile, winks and holds her hand up in the “V” sign.]

I’ll see you all around. Bye!

[OOC: If anybody wants to consider any test drive meme threads as canon, I'm down for that. Just let me know somewhere so I can roll with it!]

[There's a small pause on her end before she shakes her head with a small laugh.]

Only if you don't. I was pretty tired that night and my feet really were killing me.

How about we call this a fresh start?

That one? Hmm... it's been awhile, but I'll give it my best shot.

[She closes her eyes for a second, trying to get back into the mindset. That was a tough day of filming, up at the crack of dawn, outside in the winter weather so it was easy then to get into character but a little more difficult here in a warm, comfortable room. Okay, just remember the scene. Cold, tired, hungry, hopeful. If she's doing this, she's doing it right.

After a few seconds, she opens her eyes again, settling back into character. Sad, a little angry, but determined.]

"You know why I'm mad? Because you keep talking about things like love and happiness and... and life like you're the only one who knows what it's like to lose them! We've all lost something, but I think that... just because it's lost now doesn't mean it's gone forever. I think it's still out there, waiting for us, we just have to find it. Just one more step, every day, because they might be just one step away. That's what I think anyway... and that's why I'll never stop moving forward."

[Another beat, and she lets out a breath before her smile comes back.]

How was that?

[....yeeeeah Phillip's not sure he'd go so far as to say she has nothing to worry about. Especially since the slime showed up and is reacting to them.]

Oh, um. If you want to keep yourself a secret though, you might want to avoid the slime as much s possible. It changes into other stuff around us, sometimes.

... Sure. I can do that.

Still, I think we should go into this acknowledging we both have different ways of approaching things.

Hm? [She blinks a bit at that.] What do you mean?

You mean those big balls of goop that have been popping up? [She's not even going to suppress a shudder here because, ew.] Yeah, even if you didn't tell me I wouldn't be going anywhere near those things.

Yeah, those. [Phillip is in middle school all his friends were messing with them.] Someone was going to and figure what's up with that, at least.

[Ugh. Middle school guys are the worst.]

It's all their's. Anybody who wants to go mess with slime so I don't have to is fine by me.

[And then she adds, thoughtfully.]

Actually, I've got a friend who might be pretty excited to get the chance.

Really? D'you know if they're on here? [probably not, but uh... there are a lot of coincidences in who shows up on the network.]

I don't think so. Pretty sure I'd know if she was.

[Phillip shrugs, but she can't see it so.] Lots of us are still pretty quiet about it. [but he won't argue with her over it.] Hopefully it's just leftovers, or... something.

Oh, I'd know. [They don't have secrets. Well... mostly. Like ninety-nine out of a hundred.

... She's gonna tell her eventually. But, moving on!]

Leftovers? You mean from the spacemen? Are you saying it could be Martian goop?

Maybe? Generally when stuff has to do with us, that's why.

No lie, it's a little much for like... a phone camera to show off. And I don't think he likes being bugged just to showoff so I'll have to talk to him.

[ He's really a bit of a pushover sometimes though. ]

[She feels like she should, but... no. Nope. She doesn't, not really.]

Do you really? [She blinks a bit.] It's weird, and it's been awhile, though I guess Winter was usually more in the spotlight than me back before the invasion...

[Just... as if she's talking to anyone else.]

Outside of my writing, I can't really reach people like you. I'm direct and to the point. I don't know how to take that sort of thing off the page and do things like... an actor would. I'm good with a pencil or a brush, but every other way I'm direct and blunt as a bag of hammers.

Well, to be fair, he's only talked to me so far, really.

[ Being a Magic Knight and all. ]

[Her adorableness was both a blessing and a curse... at least to Rakka when she tried to be serious.

Ah, but regardless, she was finally calming down little by little as she spoke to Kirara.]

It's great! I don't get the chance much either, even though I'm pretty sure most of my friends know Japansese.

[She's totally talking with Kirara Amanogawa in Japanese aaaaa.]

[But... but how? This doesn't make any sense! Did this girl spend the last year living under a rock? Or on the moon? Is Cure Moonlight more than just a name? No, that's silly. Maybe she just doesn't get out to the movies very often, she does look like the bookworm type but she would've had to come up for air sometime, right? Right! And--

It's remarkable how composed Kirara's expression is with all that running through her head.]

I guess that explains it, but it's definitely something you'll adjust too. Trust me, I would know.

[Sure is a movie star talking about coming by for a visit there, Marina.]

I thought all that stuff was over with though. Unless I've been missing all kinds of alien stuff for the past year.

No, you haven't really missed anything. I just can't think of anything else right now. And honestly I'd kind of rather it be something we knew about instead of something new that we have to figure out. [the speculation the first time through was hard.]

In general I'm suspicious of taking the word of good actors at face value, but I do believe you.

What kind of talking bird? Back some time ago, a parrot started receiving echoes, and I wonder if there's a chance you're connected to him at all.

[He's applauding, clapping his hands loudly together almost before she's even finished. Clearly, the young man is absolutely delighted by the recitation.]

That was incredible! I wish I'd been recording it, but I won't ask you to do it again.
