Toushirou doesn't really put a value judgement on the word 'normal' anymore, if he ever did. It was something he'd never really been, even before all the Numbered business had started. He had always been strange in some way, but always comfortable with himself.

Most people don't get memories and objects from a past life, or supernatural powers. The Numbered do, and there aren't a whole lot of them. They're by definition not normal.
