[He's so tired, he just wants to close his eyes and sink into a deep and dreamless sleep, especially after Misa tells him he should be angry. Maybe that's true, but he doesn't want to be, and can't imagine that anyone would. It wastes precious seconds of a life that he is trying to embrace and love fully.

Misa's sudden move catches him off-guard, and he blinks up at her, surprised.
