Thunder Corp Recruitment Drive
Who: Everyone who agreed to be approached by Thunder Corp
When: September 21st
What: Thunder Corp is out to recruit
Where: Various Locations
On the date of September 21st, the visitations begin.
For some, they arrive in the form of men in well-pressed business suits. All of them are fit and attractive, almost artificially so, carrying suitcases that contain contracts they wish for those they approach to sign. Their friendliness is also absolute, though they are somehow aggressive at the same time. They've bought themselves into absolutely every location possible, either having traveled great distances with ease or simply found people where they would logically be. In any case, they approach their "targets" out of the blue, greeting them with an outstretched hand and an aggressively polite demeanor.
Still others receive a message in the form of electronic mail. The approach is different simply as a matter of personal resource. How exactly did they find out your e-mail address? Why, it's for the same reason they're able to approach people wherever they happen to be right now: They're Thunder Corp, and they are very resourceful! That's how!
A much more pressing question would be... how did they know you are a Numbered?
[OOC: There's two threads you can reply off of depending on how you decided to be contacted, ones for being approached in person, and ones for being contacted by personal e-mail.]

That was spoken rather gravely, and his expression only grew more grave. "Please, you have an incredible gift! You should be utilizing it, for the good of everyone! Isn't that why people look up to you, as an actress?"
no subject
"Well..." unconsciously, she found herself leaning back a little, hesitating, "... it's just something I'd need a little bit of time to think over, you know? I've got a lot of commitments on my plate already."
no subject
He smiled. It was a put upon, "why won't you do this for me", sort of smile. "If you're worried about repercussions towards your career, Thunder Corp could smooth absolutely all of that over. You'd be able to reveal yourself without fear of any scrutiny or discrimination from studios... in fact, we believe we'd be able to find you even more opportunity...!"
no subject
Still, there was no way he could know about Cure Twinkle, right? She hadn't told anybody about that. At least she still had that going for her.
That next bit though... despite the uneasy feeling in her gut about this meeting, that caused her interest to perk up a bit. There was always a part of her on the lookout for the next step up and it wasn't going to let her just ignore that.
"... What kind of opportunities?" She asked with a sort of cautious curiosity.
no subject
"Oh, you know. Endorsement deals. Any project Thunder Corp invests in, you'd be at the very front of considerations for. All sorts of sponsorships... you could live comfortably for the rest of your life, beloved by even more people than you are now!"
He chuckled softly. "You won't even have to work for it, to have anything you want! You just have to take a chance with us!"
no subject
It definitely sounded like a good deal. A way into the ground floor of the workings of a major company. Sponsorships, endorsement deals, wealth and fame with relatively little work.
Except... she thought back to her conversation with Jasmine, about the stuff this company had gotten up to in the past. Plus, something about this whole thing is definitely fishy and there's still that... something about this guy. Plus he'd misstepped in one crucial area.
Assuming Kirara was in it for the money.
"Heheh, you must really be offering a lot to say that about me. There's an awful lot that I want!" She grinned, chuckling a little bit but then blinked. "Except I'm still really not sure where you got the idea that I'm a Numbered in the first place. I don't mind working out a deal but if it's one of them you're looking for, you really didn't come to the right place."
no subject
His smile returned. "We also realize that some of these deals can't be made without your agent. Perhaps you need time to speak to them, hm?"
no subject
She shrugged a bit, that cheery smile of hers never leaving her face.
"If you say so, but I really wish I knew where you're getting your information. Really, I'd just hate for any rumors to get started." She sighed quietly. "I'm not really worried about it, but it's kind of a pain, going on TV and trying to figure out where these things got started."
She could play this game. Who'd really come out looking like the bad guy between the giant corporation or the beloved up-and-coming starlet, after all?
no subject
"Yes, it would be a real shame if a rumor started," he said, sounding rather disappointed. And like he was taking this a bit too personally. This wasn't how he expected his first meeting with someone famous to turn out.
"Well then... talk to your agent and let us know what they say. And trust me, we will be keeping in touch, Miss Hoshimoto."
no subject
There might actually be something she could do to work this, but she had to play friendly for the moment. Don't make it into a fight.
"I hope so! It's been nice talking with you, Mr. Johnson, but I think I'll have to turn in now. Big day tomorrow, as usual."
no subject
"Of course, Miss Hoshimoto, of course! Please get back to us soon, and... it was an HONOR getting a chance to meet you!"
no subject
"I'll definitely keep your number handy, Mr. Johnson." She let a beat pass, and then tilted her head a little. "But I'm still a little curious about what led you up here? Are you sure you can't give me a little hint?"
