It was simply the way of things. Some people worked and amassed power only to indulge themselves in reckless extravagance, wearing their wealth and success out in the open. To somebody like Keldek though... he had no taste for the gaudy. He wore his power in other ways.

"You don't seem to hold a very high opinion of yourself." He smirked a bit, but it wasn't an unexpected question. It was a relatively simple answer. "But I look at the two of you and I see more than 'dirty, homeless people.' I see the ability to help change the world forever into your own image. I see potential."
